Starlink Mission

37 000 Vaatamised 1,1 mln

SpaceX is targeting Sunday, May 9 for launch of 60 Starlink satellites from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The instantaneous window is at 2:42 a.m. EDT, or 6:42 UTC, and a backup opportunity is available on Monday, May 10 at 2:21 a.m. EDT, or 6:21 UTC.

This will be the tenth flight of the Falcon 9 first stage rocket booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Crew Dragon’s first demonstration mission to the International Space Station, the RADARSAT Constellation Mission, SXM-7, and six Starlink missions. Following stage separation, SpaceX will land Falcon 9’s first stage on the “Just Read the Instructions” droneship, which will be located in the Atlantic Ocean. Both of Falcon 9’s fairing halves previously flew on the GPS III Space Vehicle 04 mission.

Someone must make John Searl meet Elon Musk. Those two are the key. These two have the technology and the means to make it happen. If Elon Musk introduces John Searls technology, we can make this happen. I’ve analyzed John Searls technology and I really do believe he is the key.

We can actually benefit by going out to other planets as it will help us in improving the life on earth if we are to really make life on mars . Sometimes you need to think big and then apply it to small scale . And spaceX doesn't controls earth . Tell this to governments and ppl to vote for good ppl instead of corrupt and criminals. I am sure earth will then become a bit better than what it is now . Again spaceX has nothing to do with it all.

If she can't make gold this year she will be beheaded ? Just shoot mercury Hg nucleoses into water for Hg spallation to Hg-197 epsilon decay gold with less neutron reabsorption to Au-198 decay to Hg-198 going into H of then D or T in H2O not same like in neutron generator USA shooting protons at Hg for spallation needing more energy than for fusion thst happens if shooting Hg into water with H same proton but also spallation at O in H2O. Hg is magnetic. same Au to accelerate in small LHC but Hg coming out as beam first to spread to steam for more Hg H→H punch fusion etc. Ring accelerator needed for ship acceleration with counter accelerating ring going out with Hg in same direction into water tubes attached slowing down Hg then easy out of water back. Accelerator energy etc. is not lost always collecting heat with CO2 for turbines all thermal isolated possible not using a cooled condenser at turbine cycle end but a sucking centrifugal compressor pump and cooling of alk with CO2 fluid backflow. Heat source for CO2 turbine can be also hot air in desert sucked with 2. compressor there more hot and dense cooled with CO2 for turbine then air expanded very cold for air condition and much water condensed out of air. kayuweboehm@yahoo.de Build a starship using Hg ring accelerators like small LHC with counter rotator ring shooting into water tubes for ship acceleration in shooting direction from linear slow down not loosing any Hg mass and cold fusion from Hg H->H punsh or Li-7 Th HTR as energy source with CO2 turbines cf compressor backflow cooling of all thermal isolated that way standing eternal in air any planet or altitude slowly up with 1g+ after less 1 year near c in space with biotop water tank cells and el. mg. shield etc. kayuweboehm@yahoo.de CO2 can be easy captured out of air with gas centrifuge since more heavy than O2 & N2 but together with also heavy Ar argon but if left inside exrract not reacting with H2 like CO2 to CH4 for CNG production in zero carbon cycle using electrolyse H2 with energy from water power, nuclear RBN Th pebble bed HTR or cold fusion power shooting Hg into H2O or aircondition not using but delivering energy and water out of air sucked with cf compressor cooled with CO2 for near 100% efficient CO2 compressor backflow cooled turbines. @John Goldsworthy Hg spallation if shoot in H2O can be used also for Hg-197 epsilon decay gold. The damage to environment for the value rockets give us is extremely tiny (stop launching rockets and millions will die - seriously). The value of bitcoin, especially considering a much better crypto alternatives already exist, is tiny compared to the damage it does. Bitcoin was super important as a proof of concept, but it isn't as important today (blockchain is). So your analogy is simply ridiculous. Also: 1. ecology is worthless without civilization (and tesla and everything Musk does is about civilization, NOT nature - that's only a side effect). 2. the value of space exploration for the future of civilization will always be infinitely higher than crypto ever will be -no matter how cool crypto is.

Well, that's 10 then. Doubt they will "retire" this booster, although it's pretty historic. Guess they'll just launch it until it fails, see how far they can push things. WHat would be interesting to know is how many engines and other parts are still original (if any). Also, costs of refurbishment and turnaround. Only by knowing these metrics can we really work out just how much money is being saved atm through "reusability". To build one F9 and fly it on its maiden flight + 3 re-use flights (so 4 flights total) would, I estimate, cost the same as building 2 "single-use" F9's. (so 2 flight total). After those first four, you just add 3 additional flights (reusable version) for the cost of 1 (disposable version). If this assumption is about right, then a 10 flight booster like this, would have cost the same as 4 Disposable missions. So only 40% the cost of doing the same 10 missions in disposable config. I think that's about the best case, so maybe we could just say 50% . If that's correct then Spacex just cut the cost per KG to LEO in half over the lifetime of a booster. If the booster can continue to 22 flights, the cost per KG falls another 10% odd to 40% (8 /22) then (12/34), (16/46), (20/58) etc. this way you can get to 1/3 (33%) the cost of disposable rockets Although you do hit diminishing returns pretty quickly. Still, the F9 is already the cheapest rocket to build and fly (disposable) and bringing even that cost down by 66% means it becomes at least 10 x cheaper kg to LEO. Maybe as much as 15x cheaper than anyone else currently. I would call a 10 x reduction in the cost of anything revolutionary. And now I think Spacex can now claim that's what they've achieved with the f9 program. So congrats to them. To do better than even this, they need that second stage to do the same. Therefore, Starship needs to take over, as F9 potential is largely maxed out now, save any future cost reduction in turnaround costs they can eek out.

Hi my name is Anton and im writing a text about space with two classmates so I would love to as you a couple of questions. What is the price limit for rocket building? How long can a Starship fly without filling on extra fuel I hope you answer my questions and ill see ya

    1. Wojtek Sykurski
      Wojtek Sykurski
      Місяць tagasi

What is the price limit for rocket building? -> it depends on company/rocket/ship. Space Shuttles easily went over 2-2.5 bln$ per launch. ArianSpace Ariane 5 is somewhere around 700 mln $ per launch. ULA Atlas V ~ 90mln$, ULA DeltaHeavy ~ 300 mln$, Russian Soyuz ~ 60-65 mln$ (we are talking about rocket, not crewed spaceship). For SpaceX: Falcon 9: 60 mln$ for expendable configuration (first stage is not landing, it's lost), between 15-35 mln $ when first stage is landing. Falcon Heavy: 110 mln$ for fully expendable mission (all boosters lost), 100 mln$ for partial reusable (central core is lost, side boosters do perform landing), 90mln$ for fully reusable mission. How long can a Starship fly without filling on extra fuel -> depends on the cargo mass.

SpaceX We wish researchers and workers in the technology and engineering department to find plans for the new car industry Because new cars should be flying saucers in the sky and These flying saucers must have three perks 1 / The flying saucers must be self-driving so that everyone can use them 2 / The autonomous driving of flying saucers must be based on artificial intelligence programs 3/Artificial intelligence must rely on the new Google Maps in order to direct the launch of flying saucers to the desired places . Send these three basic demands to the technicians and engineers in the mechanics and technology department in order to make flying saucers

Flying cars are not physically possible. The rest of what you describe is being developed and coming in to service even now in ground based cars with wheels.

The rocket why 2 stages and congrulations moon

If you built a rocket that was single stage to orbit then it would have to carry all that extra weight in to orbit. that would require much more fuel, which also is very heavy, and thus mean that you could not lift very much payload. By separating the first stage, then you can put a much heavier payload in to orbit, with much less fuel.

SpaceX, as much as I love you, never say the words "social justice" ever again. You guys got to were you are now based on your own merit, which is all that should ever matter. As soon as terms like "diversity" and "social justice" starts getting thrown around, it takes away from and diminishes the achievements of each individual. It's the same thing with the astronauts that fly on your crewed missions. They became astronauts on their own efforts, not because they were a specific gender or color. Even mentioning those things is to make light of their hard work, so please don't.

@Exploration Really? You would consider it a compliment that you were hired based on the color of your skin rather than your personal merit? Especially for a job requiring advanced education such as scientist, engineer, doctor, or lawyer?

The amount of people clapping after it landed really shows how much they change the world! The fact that they can re-launch a rocket for the 10th time and land it and no one really cares is crazy!!!

Bits of frozen oxygen. In order to keep the pressure at a safe level as the liquid oxygen boils off in the tank, it has to be vented. When it is, some of the oxygen freezes and forms those snow like particles.
